My Great Auntie Lois (Gillis) Shore once did amazing research/work on the "Gillis Family Chronicles". This blog has been started to fan the coals - and hopefully be a user friendly way to add updated Family information to the chronicles, and some day, to have it all accessible online.
Fran says that this house is not Edgewood nor Maple Hill nor the Armstrong home, but could be the old house that was across the road from Edgewood farm. KMG lived there when she was quite young before Edgewood was built. After they moved into Edgewood they were ready to tear down the old house. They moved part of it to Edgewood's back farm yard to make a garage, which they always called, "The old house." All the old house and foundation were removed, and it all turned into the cornfield.
